Bismillāh ʾl Raḥmān ʾl Raḥīm

Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We hope and pray you are in the best of health and Iman.
As Ramadhan is approaching, we are very pleased to announce that our Ramadhan preparation is on course and that the Masjid will remain open for all Salah including a full Quran Tarawih led by 3 of our local Huffaz.

The Masjid will also remain open at various times for individual worship. All Salah and other activities will take place in a covid-secure manner and all visitors are requested to continue to follow all the set guidelines. Unfortunately, due to the Covid pandemic and restrictions on indoor hospitality, we will not have a collective daily iftar programme, however we will serve water and dates at sunset to all those who visit the Masjid for Maghrib Salah. If anyone wants to contribute to this noble project, please contact the masjid on 07305876814. It is very important no other food is served or consumed in the Masjid, hence we humbly request all persons attending the Masjid to strictly follow the guidelines.
May Allah make this Ramadhan a source of blessing, mercy and guidance for the whole of mankind.

We are planning to provide a full take away meal daily to all those in our community who live alone or who are unable to cater for a full meal. The meals will be served individually to take away at Maghrib time. If you are interested in receiving a meal, or know anyone who would benefit from this,  whether daily or otherwise, please contact the masjid on 07305876814.

For all those who wish to contribute to this noble project through food donations, please contact the above number.

As we have previously informed you we are planning to have a full Quran Tarawih led by 3 of our local Huffaz. We urge all brothers who wish to take advantage of this opportunity to come early for Isha Salah in order for everyone to be seated accordingly. Due to covid restrictions the Masjid capacity is 193 and we will not be able to allow any more than this number.

During the covid pandemic, the Wudhu area has remained closed in the Masjid and the local community have developed the habit of making Wudhu at home as was the Sunnah of our Prophet (SAW).

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) reports that Rasulullah (ﷺ) said:

"When one performs wudhu at home and leaves for the masjid solely to offer salah [in congregation], for every step taken towards the masjid [in this state of wudhu] one sin is forgiven, one reward accrued, and one stage is elevated in the Hereafter." (Bukhari and Muslim)

However, during the holy month of Ramadan, as many worshippers will be visiting the Masjid directly from work and many others will stay longer in the Masjid, the Wudhu area will remain open. We urge all visitors, to continue performing wudhu at home and only use the Masjid facilities where necessary.

May Allah reward you for your cooperation and assistance.

We are grateful for your cooperation and assistance. May Allah reward you abundantly. Ameen.
